Graduated from the Military Technical College with distinction and honors as the first July 1990 class, he received his B.Sc. in Communication and Electronics Engineering. Dr Shedied, joined the staff of the Avionics department in 1992 and received his M.Sc. in speech recognition and enhancement in 1996. In 1998, Dr Shedied received scholarship to get his Ph.D. in Electrical and computer Engineering from Virginia Polytechnical Institute and State University in USA. While pursuing his PhD degree, Dr Shedied got a M.Sc in Applied Mathematics from the Math Department in VA Tech and participated actively in MAPL research team till he received his Ph.D degree in Electrical and computer Engineering in May 2002. Progressed in all the academic positions in the Avionics Department of the MTC, Dr Shedied received a post- doctor fellowship with the Mobile Multi-Sensor Systems (MMSS) Research group at the University of Calgary Alberta Canada in 2011. Promoted to associate professor in 2012, He has assigned as the dean of the Armed Forces technical institute. Then took the command of the AF Research Center for 2 years where he directed and managed over 15 research projects in different engineering research areas. Following this, Dr Shedied was assigned as the director of the Space Technology Center of the Armed Forces for 1 and half year where he founded the Assembly, Integration and Testing Center and lead the Space Technology Localization Committee of the AF space program. Because of his distinction and good service Dr Shedied was honored with the following: Decorated with the Order of the Republic, 2021, decorated with the Medal of Long Service and Good Example, 2010, Researcher of the year award, Military Technical Collage, 2004. Best Opening lecture for Aerospace Science and Aviation Technology Conference, Military technical Collage, 2003. Excellence with Honors graduation award, Military Technical Collage, 1990. Decorated with the Medal of Military Duty for superior performance, 1990.
