Mr Kwaku Sumah
Kwaku is the Founder & Managing Director of Spacehubs Africa, a unique space consultancy supporting policymakers, industry players, investors, and start-ups in the African space industry. At Spacehubs Africa, Kwaku endeavours to empower Africans to develop space-based solutions for the development of their communities.
Kwaku has been active in the space industry for almost a decade, working as a consultant and KOL for European and African space institutions and companies, including the European Commission, European Space Agency, European Investment Bank, and African Union Commission. He collaborates with institutions and private actors to deliver consulting, communication, due diligence, education, market, policy, and start-up support services.
In addition to his role at Spacehubs Africa, Kwaku serves as the Community Manager for Africa at the European Space Support Office, and as the Communication and Social Media Manager for the Copernicus Marine Service.
His academic background includes degrees in Physics and Astronomy (BSc Hon) from the University of British Columbia and Management (MSc) from the Technical University of Munich.
